SMS Consent & Messaging Policy
Last updated: March 15, 2026
1. How We Collect Consent
MeetMatch sends SMS messages only to individuals who voluntarily provide their phone number during the meeting booking process. Consent is collected as follows:
- Booking form opt-in: When a prospect fills out a booking questionnaire on a MeetMatch-powered scheduling page, they may enter their phone number in the "Phone Number" field. Directly below this field, a disclosure states: "By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS meeting reminders from MeetMatch. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."
- Voluntary action: Providing a phone number is optional unless the organization has marked it as a required field. The prospect must actively type their number into the form — no phone numbers are pre-filled or obtained without the prospect's knowledge.
- No purchase required: Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
2. Types of Messages Sent
MeetMatch sends the following types of SMS messages:
- Booking confirmations: A single SMS confirming the meeting date, time, and joining details immediately after a booking is made.
- Meeting reminders: SMS reminders sent at configurable intervals before the scheduled meeting (e.g., 24 hours, 1 hour, or 15 minutes before). The organization hosting the meeting controls the reminder timing.
- Reschedule notifications: If a meeting is rescheduled, an SMS may be sent with the updated time and details.
MeetMatch does not send marketing messages, promotional offers, or any messages unrelated to the scheduled meeting.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on meeting activity. A typical booking generates 1–4 SMS messages total (one confirmation plus up to three reminders). Prospects who book multiple meetings may receive additional messages corresponding to each booking.
4. How to Opt Out
Recipients can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message received from MeetMatch. Upon receiving a STOP request, no further SMS messages will be sent to that phone number.
Recipients can also contact us at support@meetmatch.ai to request removal from SMS communications.
5. How to Get Help
For questions about SMS messaging, reply HELP to any message or email support@meetmatch.ai.
6. Costs
MeetMatch does not charge for SMS messages. However, standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
7. Data Handling
Phone numbers collected during booking are stored securely and used solely for the purpose of sending meeting-related SMS notifications. Phone numbers are not sold, shared with third parties for marketing purposes, or used for any purpose other than meeting communications.
For full details on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
8. Supported Carriers
SMS messages are sent via Twilio and are compatible with all major US carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
